Spiti valley is a picturesque cold desert mountain area situated in North Eastern part of Himachal Pradesh state of India. Spiti means ‘Middle land’ and it’s the middle land between Tibet and India.
Spiti and Lahaul has the authentic history and there you get to see some of the oldest Buddhist Monasteries. Also the valley has insanely beautiful landscapes and no doubt it is India’s best place to do stargazing & astrophotography. It is seriously heaven for Astro photographers. There are two ways to enter the beautiful valley one Via Shimla-Kinnaur Highway which is accessible all over the year, and the other way is from Manali via Rohtang Pass which is only opens during summer when Rohtang Pass gets accessible for tourists . Rohtang pass connects the Kullu valley and Lahual -Spiti Valley.
Spiti valley Via Manali-Rohtang has treacherous curves and bad road condition compare to Shimla- Kinnaur but it is ideal for travellers looking for adventure road trips. Best Time to visit Spiti Valley is from June to September when road from both the sides are open and snow gets melted. You will see all the beautiful landscapes in Spiti valley from snow covered white mountains to brown cold desert.

Well finally we are in magnificent Spiti Valley. Tabo is also known as the Ajanta of Himalayas. Untouched and preserved its glorious heritage,
• Morning breakfast at Hotel
• After that visit Tabo Monastery, Tabo monastery is famous for its holiness and also a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Amazingly is 1200 years monastery is well preserved and painting here will make you feel that you are living the past.
• Then afternoon we will head to visit Dhankar monastery. As the name says it means fortress on the cliff. Dhankar monastery (3870m) offer some amazing view of Spiti Valley. The monastery if built as gigantic as a fort. Seeing the moving shadows of the floating clouds on the flood plains of Spiti and Pin River will make you feel that you are God of these mountains.
• After that you will traverse 20 km into Pin valley to mud village
• Late afternoon we will head to Kaza.
• Dinner and over night stay at Kaza
Kaza (3800m) is the main headquarter of Spiti Valley.
• Morning breakfast at hotel
• Then move to Langza, a small village situated at altitude of 4400 meters. The grand Buddha statue is the primary attraction of the village. Langza is also known for finding ancient fossils and there is also a fossil center in the village
• After that we will visit Komic village at an altitude of 4600 meters is the world highest motorable village. The village has high vintage points with some awesome views and a Tangyud Monastery. You can see entire Spiti valley from here.
• Then we will visit Hikkim village (4440m) which has world highest post office. You can also send postcards to your loved ones from here.
